About Your Client Portal

Current clients have access to a secure client portal, hosted by SimplePractice. You can use this portal to view and sign into upcoming appointments, securely message me, and complete online forms.

Other Important Information

Telehealth appointments are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform hosted by SimplePractice. You will receive a link to connect to your telehealth appointment 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you plan to connect to your appointment via a tablet or mobile device, please download the free Telehealth by SimplePractice app.

I use encryption when emailing clients. When you receive an email from me, you will be prompted to follow a link and create a passphrase, after which you will be able to read the email. This is to ensure your privacy. Please remember your passphrase, as it will be needed to read future emails from me. Messages you receive through this method will expire after two weeks, so be sure to download any attachments when you receive an email from me.

I know that life can be unpredictable sometimes, so I accept cancellations without an additional charge, up until the day of the appointment. Same-day cancellations will incur a late-cancellation fee, which will be the charge for your appointment. This fee will only be waived in the most unusual circumstances, so please contact me by at least the day prior to your appointment, to avoid this fee.

No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/ or call 1 (800) 368-1019.
