About Me

  • I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of South Florida (USF). My training focused on anxiety and body image, with an emphasis on developing and implementing evidence-based treatments for specific populations. I completed my clinical internship at Baylor’s OCD Program in Houston, TX, and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Jacob Center for Evidence-Based Treatment in Boca Raton, FL. During these experiences, I further specialized in the assessment and treatment of Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Related Disorders.

  • I primarily utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice, which are evidence-based treatment approaches that focus on changing the way we interact with our thoughts and emotions. I also specialize in Exposure/Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) to treat anxiety and OCD, and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) to treat tic disorders.

  • While I treat many disorders and problems outside the realm of fitness, a large portion of my practice blends my training in psychology with my passion for fitness to bring evidence-based psychological skills to the fitness community. My mission is to tailor CBT and ACT principles to the mental struggles that accompany physical fitness, so that incorporating mental health into physical fitness is both accessible and practical.
